American Breakfast Recipes

American food is best at breakfast. Whether you prefer sweet or savoury, we have all the American breakfast recipes to fill you up and start your day.

How to cook breakfast

If you’re looking for inspiration or instructions on how to cook breakfast, we likely have a recipe that fits your needs.

We have six different recipes for pancakes including savoury, gluten-free, traditional buttermilk and out of this world Las Vegas-style carrot cake pancakes. Delicious for Pancake Day or for a lazy brunch.

We will teach you how to make hashbrowns. Order them up scattered, smothered, diced, spiced and covered.

If you’ve never had baked oatmeal, you are missing out on real American breakfast food. Yes, every Brit wrinkles their nose in disgust when we suggest this recipe but once you try it, it will be in your regular rotation of breakfast recipes. When you have guests round, baked oatmeal is by far one of the easiest ways to put on an easy cooked breakfast.

Of course, don’t miss the breads & spreads. American classics like homemade bagels with walnut cream cheese. We also have created an exclusive American recipe for Cornmeal Scones.  It’s our Southern twist on the classic Cornish scone. Top it with honey butter and a cup of tea and you’ll be walking on sunshine until lunch.

All ingredients are sourced in Waitrose, Sainsbury’s or Ocado and our instructions are in metric so you don’t need to know how much is a stick of butter. 🙂
