Gooey Rolls

Quick, delicious dinner rolls with a cinnamon and maple goo.

Equipment

  • Foil Flan Round

Ingredients

  • 8 rolls Ready made, part-baked dinner rolls
  • 100 grams butter
  • 25 grams light brown muscovado sugar
  • 25 grams maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  • Heat oven fan oven to 200C
  • Put butter in the flan dish and put in oven to melt
  • Remove melted butter from oven and stir in brown sugar, maple syrup and cinnamon
  • Place part-baked rolls on top of the 'goo' mixture
  • Brush the rolls with milk
  • Bake for 8 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and let sit for 2 minutes before serving.
  • OPTIONAL: After two minutes, you can turn these "upside down" onto a serving platter, make sure you scrape all of the yummy maple cinnamon buttery goo onto the rolls.
  • Serve with high-quality butter.

Notes

Two important tips
  1. Do not over bake these - the rolls will become hard.
  2. Serve while warm or the goo will become hard and you can't get them out of the pan.
