Hermit Cookies

Most of these ingredients you have on hand – hence the name Hermit Cookies.  Buttermilk is always a staple in my fridge but if you don’t have any, you can use plain yogurt thinned with a bit of milk.

Instructions
  1. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla to form a liquid batter.
  2. Add in flour, cinnamon, soda, salt to form a dough. Fold in the sultanas.
  3. Drop onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment.
  4. Bake at 190 C for 10 - 15 minutes until golden.
